The outer conditions of a person's
life will always be found to be harmoniously related to his inner state...Men
do not attract that which they want, but that which they are. ― James Allen, <i>As a Man Thinketh</i><o:p></o:p></div>
<div class="MsoNormal" style="margin-left: .5in;">
<i><br /></i></div>
<div class="MsoNormal">
<b>As you can surmise by
the quote above, our life is a reflection of the sum total of our thoughts. If
we <i>want to do or have something in life
we need to be it first. In other words, act as if we already are what we desire
or have what we desire, with feeling.<o:p></o:p></i></b></div>
<div class="MsoNormal">

The world as we have created it is
a process of our thinking. It cannot be changed without changing our thinking.―
Albert Einstein<o:p></o:p></div>
<div class="MsoNormal" style="margin-left: .5in;">
<br /></div>
<div class="MsoNormal">
<b><span style="color: blue;">There are three important factors that deeply affect what we
get out of life. The first is: <i>Our
thoughts create our reality.<o:p></o:p></i></span></b></div>
<div class="MsoNormal">
<b><span style="color: blue;"><i><br /></i></span></b></div>
<div class="MsoNormal">
<b>If we want to change
our circumstances we need to change our thoughts, because our circumstances are
a result of the thoughts we’ve had prior to that condition. I know it seems too
simple, and it’s easier for us to blame outside forces for the conditions in
our life. The problem with placing blame outside of us is that our
circumstances will remain the same. Our conditions won’t change to any great
degree until we accept responsibility and take conscious control of our
thoughts and feelings.<o:p></o:p></b></div>
<div class="MsoNormal">
<b><br /></b></div>
<div class="MsoNormal" style="margin-left: .5in;">
A man's mind may be likened to a garden, which
may be intelligently cultivated or allowed to run wild; but whether cultivated
or neglected, it must, and will, bring forth. If no useful seeds are put into
it, then an abundance of useless weed seeds will fall therein, and will
continue to produce their kind. ― James Allen, <i>As a Man Thinketh</i><o:p></o:p></div>
<div class="MsoNormal" style="margin-left: .5in;">
<i><br /></i></div>
<div class="MsoNormal">
<b>We have a choice: we
can continue with the same line of thinking that has brought us to our current
stage in life, or we can take control of our thoughts and change the course of
our life to one of abundance and joy. Of course, if we are already experiencing
a life of abundance and joy then we know we are practicing right-thinking, as
our experiences in life are a reflection of our thoughts. <o:p></o:p></b></div>
<div class="MsoNormal">
<b><br /></b></div>
<div class="MsoNormal" style="margin-left: .5in;">
In the measure that you master self,
that you control your mental forces instead of being controlled by them, in
just such measure will you master affairs and outward circumstances. – <i>The Path of Prosperity</i>, James Allen<o:p></o:p></div>
<div class="MsoNormal" style="margin-left: .5in;">
<br /></div>
<div class="MsoNormal">
<b><span style="color: blue;">The second factor is: <i>We
can change our reality by changing our thoughts</i>. <o:p></o:p></span></b></div>
<div class="MsoNormal">
<b>One of the most
difficult things in life is to ignore what life presents to us and imagine what
we want instead. However, that is a key ingredient to living the life of our
dreams. – seeing in our mind’s eye what we want to be, do or have rather that
what we are currently experiencing. <o:p></o:p></b></div>
<div class="MsoNormal">
<b><br /></b></div>
<div class="MsoNormal" style="margin-left: .5in;">

self-motion will be required when you understand and use thought to do most or
all of the work. You may choose to now be in the possibly wise .1 percent who
daily do seemingly impossible things, both speedily and also effortlessly.<i> – </i>Russ Michael,<i> How The Law of Attraction Works</i><o:p></o:p></div>
<div class="MsoNormal" style="margin-left: .5in;">
<i><br /></i></div>
<div class="MsoNormal">
<b>The interesting thing
is that positive thoughts combined with vivid visualization and feeling –
feeling as if we already have that which we desire - create something magical
within and much less effort is required to achieve lasting results. However, it
is important that we follow the urges we have to take action. <o:p></o:p></b></div>
<div class="MsoNormal">
<b><br /></b></div>
<div class="MsoNormal">
<b>Our mind is like a
computer and we are the operator, in control of what the computer provides. The
computer has no volition of its own; it produces what it is programmed to
produce by our conscious mind. It’s programmed by impressing our thoughts onto
our subconscious mind via our feelings.<o:p></o:p></b></div>
<div class="MsoNormal">
<b><br /></b></div>
<div class="MsoNormal">
<b>We are always
creating with our thoughts; it’s just that most of us are doing it unconsciously,
without taking conscious control of what we are thinking about.<o:p></o:p></b></div>

<b><br /></b></div>
<div class="MsoNormal">
<b>For example, when we
worry about something we are impressing exactly what we don’t want onto our
unconscious mind via our feelings. <o:p></o:p></b></div>

For as a man thinketh in his heart,
so is he. – PROVERBS 23: 7<o:p></o:p></div>
<div class="MsoNormal" style="margin-left: .5in;">
<br /></div>
<div class="MsoNormal">
<b>Here again, we are
reminded that our thoughts are things; they’re energy and our circumstances are
a direct result of our thoughts.<o:p></o:p></b></div>
<div class="MsoNormal">
<b><br /></b></div>
<div class="MsoNormal">
<b><span style="color: blue;">The third factor is: <i>Only
we have control of our thoughts.</i><o:p></o:p></span></b></div>
<div class="MsoNormal">
<b><i>We Are In Charge of Our Mind and What Our Thoughts Produce</i>. We are
in control of our thoughts and we control them via our will. Our life, as we
know it today, is the sum total of our thoughts to this point in time. The good
news is that if we don’t like the direction our life is going we can change it
one thought at a time. <o:p></o:p></b></div>
<div class="MsoNormal">
<b><br /></b></div>
<div class="MsoNormal">
<b>The key to making
lasting change is to hold the vision of what we desire with feeling as often as
possible as we go about our day. An easy way to do this is to use something as
a trigger. For example, we can use every time we wash our hands during the day as
a reminder to hold the thought of what we desire with feeling, in your mind’s
eye seeing yourself doing, having or being what you want with the feeling of
having attained your goal. <o:p></o:p></b></div>
<div class="MsoNormal">
<b><br /></b></div>
<div class="MsoNormal">
<b>It’s also a good
practice to set aside 5 to 15 minutes three times a day to relax and visualize
what we want to be, do or have, focusing mostly on the end result and employing
as many of our senses as possible: touch, smell, sight, hearing and taste.<o:p></o:p></b></div>
<div class="MsoNormal">
<b><br /></b></div>
<div class="MsoNormal">
<b>In the Bible it says </b><b>"To him that hath
it shall be given and to him that hath not it shall be taken away." When
we maintain the vision and feeling of being, doing or having something, we have
it and we will eventually receive it. However, if we don’t, we will not receive
it or it will be taken away. A prime example is people who come into riches via
a windfall, like a lottery, and are penniless within a matter of years. <o:p></o:p></b></div>
<div class="MsoNormal">
<b><br /></b></div>
<div class="MsoNormal">
<b>Gratitude is a key ingredient as well, as you can
see from this Wallace Wattles quote from <i>The
Science of Getting Rich</i>:<o:p></o:p></b></div>
<div class="MsoNormal" style="margin-left: .5in;">
First, you believe that there is
one Intelligent Substance, from which all things proceed; second, you believe
that this Substance gives you everything you desire; and third, you relate
yourself to it by a feeling of deep and profound gratitude<b>. <o:p></o:p></b></div>
<div class="MsoNormal" style="margin-left: .5in;">
<b><br /></b></div>
<div class="MsoNormal">
<b>I’ll leave you with
this…</b><b><i><span style="color: red; font-family: "arial" , "sans-serif"; font-size: 12.0pt; line-height: 115%;"> <o:p></o:p></span></i></b></div>
<div class="MsoNormal" style="margin-left: .5in;">
To think according to appearance is easy; to think truth regardless of
appearances is laborious, and requires the expenditure of more power than any
other work man is called upon to perform. – Wallace Wattles, <i>The Science of Getting Rich</i><o:p></o:p></div>
<div class="MsoNormal" style="margin-left: .5in;">
<i><br /></i></div>
<div class="MsoNormal" style="margin-left: .5in;">
Through
his power to imagine and feel and his freedom to choose the idea he will
entertain, man has control over creation. Control of the subconscious is
accomplished through control of your ideas and feelings. – Neville Goddard, <i>Feeling
Is The Secret</i><o:p></o:p></div>
<div class="MsoNormal" style="margin-left: .5in;">

<div class="MsoNormal">
<b>I encourage you to
invest the time and effort to take conscious control of your thoughts and
emotions, thereby producing the life of your dreams; and keep in mind that <i>feeling is the secret</i>. This needs to be
done consistently; it’s necessary to be persistent and not give up. You can do
it!<o:p></o:p></b></div>

<span style="font-family: "arial" , "helvetica" , sans-serif; font-size: large;">Hello, and thanks for your interest in my blog!</span><br />
<span style="font-family: "arial" , "helvetica" , sans-serif; font-size: large;"><br /></span>
<span style="font-family: "arial" , "helvetica" , sans-serif; font-size: large;">Today I'd like to talk about being outside of one's comfort zone and I will most likely be writing about this again in the future, as it's so important for personal growth. </span><br />
<span style="font-family: "arial" , "helvetica" , sans-serif; font-size: large;"><br /></span>
<span style="font-family: "arial" , "helvetica" , sans-serif; font-size: large;">Years ago I listened to an audio program. I think it was a Brian Tracy program and he said "Get comfortable being uncomfortable." </span><br />
<span style="font-family: "arial" , "helvetica" , sans-serif; font-size: large;"><br /></span>
<span style="font-family: "arial" , "helvetica" , sans-serif; font-size: large;">I remember a time when I put this to use when I wanted to be a better public speaker, so I asked a dear friend and mentor, Ronna Herman Vezane, if she would allow me to introduce her at an upcoming seminar. She agreed and I introduced her at the seminar. I remember shaking like a leaf as I stood there in front of sixty-five people. Now when I speak in front of groups I feel comfortable and relaxed - at ease - because I faced my fears. </span><br />
<span style="font-family: "arial" , "helvetica" , sans-serif; font-size: large;"><br /></span>
<span style="font-family: "arial" , "helvetica" , sans-serif; font-size: large;">Magic happens outside of our comfort zone.</span><br />
<span style="font-family: "arial" , "helvetica" , sans-serif; font-size: large;"><br /></span>
<span style="font-family: "arial" , "helvetica" , sans-serif; font-size: large;">I encourage you to spend time outside of your comfort zone. </span><br />
<span style="font-family: "arial" , "helvetica" , sans-serif; font-size: large;"><br /></span>
<span style="font-family: "arial" , "helvetica" , sans-serif; font-size: large;">Jack Canfield says: "Most everything you want is just outside your comfort zone."</span><br />
<span style="font-family: "arial" , "helvetica" , sans-serif; font-size: large;"><br /></span>
<span style="font-family: "arial" , "helvetica" , sans-serif; font-size: large;">I encourage you to make life an adventure!</span><br />

from home, and on a laptop while they’re traveling… it can be done anywhere in
the world, as long as you have a good internet connection. And it provides
freedom – lots of freedom! There are numerous ways to approach an internet
business these days, so there is a lot to choose from. </div>

<b>Travel </b>will be

<b>A Little About Me...</b></div>
<div class="MsoNormal">
My name is Randall Monk. At the age of 71 (as I write this)
I’ve been around the block a few times. I was born and raised in a small
Illinois farm town, joined the U.S. Army right out of high school, and moved to
Northern California… the San Francisco Bay Area after being discharged from the
Army. Initially I lived in Oakland, California, where I attended a local junior
college and obtained an Associate Degree, while I was learning to fly
airplanes. I was planning to be a commercial pilot at the time. Instead, I
became a black belt in Kenpo Karate and Danzan Ryu Jujitsu and taught martial
arts for a number of years.</div>
<div class="MsoNormal">
<o:p></o:p></div>
<div class="MsoNormal">
<br /></div>
<div class="MsoNormal">
I remained in California for forty-two years; where I was in
the mortgage business for just shy of thirty years. I moved back to Illinois in
2008 and am about to move to the Reno, Nevada area. I miss the mountains!<o:p></o:p></div>
<div class="MsoNormal">
<br /></div>
<div class="MsoNormal">
I’ve been involved in self-help and internet marketing for a
number of years. I started studying self-improvement in the early 1970’s and
started poking my toes into the internet marketing business around 2007.<o:p></o:p></div>
<div class="MsoNormal">
<br /></div>
<div class="MsoNormal">
Have I been successful in the internet marketing business?
Marginally; however, I believe that’s about to improve and I’d like to take you
on that journey with me and to do that I’ll be sharing my story and experiences
as I go.<o:p></o:p></div>
<div class="MsoNormal">
<br /></div>
<div class="MsoNormal">
Because I have a wealth of information from my many years of
being a student of self-help (and I still am a student, as well as a teacher)
I’ll be sharing that information as well. <o:p></o:p></div>
<div class="MsoNormal">
<br /></div>
<div class="MsoNormal">
I hope you’ll consider allowing me to participate in your
life in a positive manner. I love sharing what I’ve learned over the years and,
being young at heart, I continue to learn and grow mentally, emotionally, and
spiritually.</div>
